Volunteer Opportunity at Colorado National Monument - National Public Lands Day

Description

Colorado National Monument needs your help to "spruce up" Saddlehorn Campground Loop C, a popular destination for students camping in the park.  The project will include building a trail from Loop C to the picnic area, refurbishing picnic tables, building tent pads, and general site maintenance throughout the Loop C camping area.  Lunch, water, gloves, tools, sunscreen, and safety glasses are supplied.  T-shirts, water bottles, and prizes will be generously donated by REI.  Contact Amy Ashman at (970) 858-3617 X 366 or email Amy_Ashman@nps.gov to sign up.  Volunteers should meet park staff at the Saddlehorn Picnic Area near the Visitor Center on September 24th.  This project was funded by a grant from REI.
