DESCRIPTION:The Palisade Honey Bee Festival kicks off with an opening reception at the Blue Pig Gallery on Friday\, April 15th from 5-8pm.  Guest speaker\, Richard Nunamaker\, PhD\, Entomology (the study of insects)will present "The Plight of the Honey Bee".  The featured Blue Pig Gallery artists for the "Art is Our Bee's Wax" exhibit will display encaustics and batiks.\n\n\n\nOn Saturday\, there will be vendors\, numerous demonstrations\, a spelling bee\, music and other entertainment in the town plaza and at various businesses.
