DESCRIPTION:The Blue Pig Gallery welcomes local artists\, who's varied works all connect to the honeybee\, for a show during the month of October.  Diana Woods\, Dianna Fritzler and Amber Streweler all offer encaustic pieces\, an unique material comprised of hot wax\, pigment and damar resin. Deborah Snider has mixed media collages and a bee theme quilt.  Susan Metzger has numerous batiks\, a process of wax and dyes\, and Sarah Denise Kasper is displaying hand thrown honeypots. \nIncluded in the opening will also be two presentions:  Chris Blatter\, local beekeeper\, will speak on the condition of the local honeybee\, and Gary McCallister\, Professor of Biology at Mesa State College will discuss "Living Together".
