DESCRIPTION:The first level International Wine Guild certification seminar presents old-world and new-world wine\, fortified wines\, tasting exercises\, descriptive and comparative evaluation techniques\, as well as wine and food pairing.\n\nSuccessfully complete the written exam to become a member of the International Wine Guild\, recently named one of the top five professional wine schools in the country by Food & Wine Magazine.\n\nThis is an introductory course of study designed for individuals who desire to learn about wine. It is open to all who wish to develop a basic knowledge of wine\, wine evaluation and wine description and does not require that individuals be employed in the wine or food service industries.\n\nRegistration for the seminar is $475/person and includes 150 pages of hand-out materials especially developed for this seminar\, breakfast and lunch on Saturday\, breakfast and a two-course lunch on Sunday. Participants will taste more than 28 wines.\n\nIn the certification seminar\, you will:\n\n    * Taste at least 28 wines from three continents.\n    * Receive 125 pages of handout material prepared specifically for the certification seminar.\n    * Learn about old world wines\, new world wines and fortified wines.\n    * Learn about wine and food pairing.\n    * All classes are taught or led by a Master of Wine Arts or a Master Wine Educator.\n    * Have a great experience!\n    * Receive a diploma\, membership card and membership pin.\n\nClass is limited to 30 participants\, register early to reserve your space!
